Marta Simoncini

Marta Simoncini is assistant professor in administrative law at Luiss University. Marta holds a PhD in administrative law from the University of Pisa and is an alumna of the Scuola Superiore di Studi Universitari e Perfezionamento Sant'Anna in Pisa.

Prior to joining Luiss University, Marta was a post-doctoral fellow sponsored by the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) at King’s College London and the University of Antwerp and a Max Weber fellow at the European University Institute. Marta has carried out seminar activities in European Union law at University College London (UCL) and is a fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.

Marta has published in peer-reviewed national and international journals. She is the author of two monographs, one in English for Hart Publishing (2018) on the limits to the delegation of powers to EU agencies and one in Italian for Editoriale Scientifica (2010) on disaster risk regulation. She has also co-edited a collected volume for Routledge (2017) on law and the challenges of disaster resilience.
