Valeria Costantini

Valeria Costantini is Full Professor of Economic Policy at the Department of Economics, Roma Tre University (Italy). She is currently the Head of the Department of Economics at Roma Tre and President Elect of the Italian Association for Environmental and Resource Economists (IAERE). She was in charge as the coordinator of the M.Sc. in Environment and Development Economics for five years. She is a founder and a member of the advisory board of the Italian Interuniversity Research Centre on Sustainability Environmental Economics and Dynamics Studies (SEEDS). She is also Associate Member at UNS-GREDEG, Groupe de Recherche en Droit, Economie et Gestion, University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France. She is consultant for the DG Trade of the European Commission, responsible for the development of climate-economy scenarios and impact evaluation assessments of energy and trade policy at the European level. She is part of the research team assisting the Italian National Research Institute for New Technologies, Energy and Environment (ENEA) for the spatial analysis of energy efficiency for the Italian manufacturing sectors. She has published extensively in several international journals, with main research interests in: climate change policy, monetary evaluation of environmental damage, green technologies, policy mix design, energy markets and geopolitics. She is involved in several international projects within the European Topic Centre on Waste and Materials in a Green Economy (ETC/WMGE), the H2020 funding framework ( ENTRUST “Energy System Transition through Stakeholders Activation, Education and Skills Development”; MATS “Making Agricultural Trade Sustainable”); FP7 funding framework (CECILIA2050 “Choosing Efficient Combinations of Policy Instruments for Low-carbon development and Innovation to Achieve Europe’s 2050 climate targets”; EMININN “Environmental Macro Indicators of Innovation”).
